What it covers
IMG Free Convert provides focused tools for format conversion, compression, resizing, and cropping. It is designed for ordinary tasks such as preparing an image for a form, making a photo easier to share, creating a web-ready copy, or changing dimensions without installing desktop software.
Browser-first by design
For supported JPG, PNG, and WebP workflows, processing happens inside your browser. This keeps the interaction fast and means the image does not need to be uploaded simply to change its format, quality, crop, or dimensions.
How we handle format limits
JPG, PNG, and WebP use built-in browser paths. AVIF uses native browser decoding, while HEIC loads a dedicated local decoder only when needed. Unsupported or unusually large files receive a clear error instead of a damaged download.
What the service does not promise
A format change cannot restore detail already removed by compression, guarantee a smaller file, or preserve every metadata field. Important outputs should always be reviewed before publication, printing, submission, or deletion of the original.
How the site is maintained
The tool set is tested across desktop and mobile browser workflows. Content pages explain practical format tradeoffs, while support boundaries and policies are updated when site behavior changes.
