Choose the background deliberately
White works well for documents and most upload forms, but it may create a visible box around artwork intended for a colored page. Preview the PNG against its final destination and choose a matching background before conversion. The selected background becomes permanent in the JPG.
Avoid repeated JPG exports
JPG is lossy, so repeatedly opening and exporting the converted copy can gradually soften detail. Keep the original PNG as the master when transparency or clean edges matter, and create a new JPG copy from that source whenever another size or quality is needed.
